Dear Administrators, Teachers, Staff, and Pastors:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for the last fourteen years. During that time you have provided an excellent education for my children in a highly academic, yet family-oriented environment.

I will never forget how difficult it was to drop off my toddlers on their first day of pre-school. Although I personally struggled with the transition from home, each one of my kids loved attending the "big kids' school." From time to time, when they were reluctant to let mom or dad leave, the teacher or aide would always come over, pick them up, and nurture them until they were laughing and saying goodbye. Although it seems like that was just yesterday, our oldest will be off to college in just a couple of years.

I don't think I tell you enough how much I appreciate each one of you and the effort you put forth every day. The Rock School was the perfect place for our baby girl fourteen years ago. Since then, the changes and improvements over the years have truly made it an exceptional place for all of our children to learn and grow. I believe the most important thing our children need to develop is character. I absolutely love the way the character training at The Rock School reinforces what we are teaching at home.

There were times when I thought we might have to overlook the quality of education because the school was relatively small, especially as high school approached. Although Rob and I were willing to compromise in order to keep our children in a private school where the teachers and administrators shared our core values, I am extremely grateful that I can say we never had to make that compromise. The improvements in the curriculum over the years have surpassed my expectations.

Across the board, the education our children have received is extraordinary. High school is thoroughly preparing our oldest daughter to enter the college or university of her choice. She takes every honors and AP course available to her and has excelled in all of them while thoroughly enjoying the learning process.

I would also like to thank you for all of the little extras you provide to encourage our children to do their best. The Incentive Days at the end of each grading period reward them for making the Principal's List and the Honor Roll and are great motivators. They also love the Award's Show at the end of each year in which they are often recognized for not only excellence in academics but also character, athletics, and artistic ability.

Thank you for being a group of people whom we can entrust our children to five days a week, thirty-six weeks a year. Thank you for being passionate about providing the very best academic experience for our children. Thank you for being balanced in disciplining and nurturing our little ones during the elementary and pre-school years. Thank you for often going above and beyond our expectations and thank you for partnering with us in developing our most precious gifts.

Each of you is very much appreciated.
Sincerely,

Deborah Dilbone
